The Royal NZ Institute of Horticulture has unanimously elected to award Avogrey Avocados founders David and Judi Grey with the 2022 Plant Raisers (Breeders) Award in recognition of their success in breeding cultivars that have the potential to contribute significantly to the wealth of New Zealand.
This is the latest highlight in a long career, and also recognises all the work the Grey family have done over the past 100 years to grow, promote and breed Avocados.
Due to Covid, the award is now expected to be presented in person in November 2022.
